Cuba, January 2016:

The Cars

 

"I can't wait to see your pictures of all the old American cars!" That's the response I heard most often when I told people I was going to Cuba. Well, here you are.

 

Cuba has a lot of newer non-US cars too, mostly from Russia and, more recently, China. Our tour bus was quite new and comfy too. But the old American cars are still around, still pumping out gas fumes, and mostly employed as taxis. We took a cab ride to the airport in an old Chevy at 2am on our way back home, and it was the perfect way to end our time in Cuba.
