Solar Eclipse in Vitoria-Gasteiz, Spain

August 12, 2026. Solar eclipse with Baily's Beads, "Diamond Ring" effect, red solar protuberances, and a "soft landing" on the western horizon at sunset. Pics taken with Nikon D780 using Nikor 200-500mm lens. We were at Parque de Salinillas de Buradón in Vitoria-Gasteiz with a view of the hills several miles away. Sun at 283° WNW, at about 7.9° above the horizon, totality between 8:27 and 8:28 pm.
